Gelatin snacks including jello shots, layered gelatin desserts, and molded gelatin treats are quick and simple to make with Flavorah concentrates. The water-soluble formula dissolves instantly into warm gelatin mixtures, producing clear, vibrant results with bold flavor and no cloudiness.

Recommended Usage Rates

• Gelatin desserts: 0.25-0.75% by weight (typical 0.5%)
• Jello shots: 0.3-0.6% for flavor that stands up to alcohol
• Layered gelatin: 0.25-0.5% per layer

Technique

Bloom gelatin in cold water, then heat to dissolve. Allow the mixture to cool to approximately 150-160F before adding Flavorah concentrate. Adding to hot liquid above 180F can reduce some volatile flavor compounds. Stir gently and pour into molds. For layered gelatin, allow each layer to partially set before adding the next flavored layer for clean, defined lines.

• Rainbow gelatin layers: use Flavorah Strawberry, Orange, Lemon, Lime, and Grape at 0.4% each for distinct colored layers
• Peach bellini jello shots: add Flavorah Peach at 0.5% to sparkling wine gelatin for an elegant party treat
• Creamsicle gelatin cups: alternate layers of Flavorah Orange at 0.4% in clear gelatin with Flavorah Vanilla Custard at 0.3% in milk gelatin

Gelatin sets firmer when chilled longer. For best flavor release, allow gelatin snacks to come to cool room temperature before serving.
