Gummy candy is one of the most popular DIY confectionery projects, and Flavorah concentrates deliver professional-quality flavor at a fraction of the cost of commercial candy flavorings. Recommended Usage Rates

• Gummy bears and shapes: 0.25-0.75% by weight (typical 0.5%)
• Sour gummies: 0.3-0.75% (increase by 10-20% to compensate for citric acid coating)
• Sugar-free gummies (with sugar alcohols): 0.3-0.75%

Technique

Prepare your gummy base with gelatin, sugar, water, and corn syrup. Cook to the target temperature, then remove from heat and allow to cool to around 160F. Add Flavorah concentrate and any food coloring, stir well, and pour into silicone molds. For multi-flavor batches, divide the base into separate containers and add different flavors to each. Allow gummies to set at room temperature or in the refrigerator for 2-4 hours.

Recipe Ideas

• Classic gummy bears: use Flavorah at 0.5% in flavors like Strawberry, Orange, Lemon, Green Apple, and Grape for a five-flavor set
• Peach ring gummies: add Flavorah Peach at 0.5% and coat finished gummies in sanding sugar
• Watermelon slices: add Flavorah Wild Melon at 0.5% with green and red layers for visual effect
• Cola bottle gummies: add Flavorah Cola at 0.5% for a nostalgic soda-flavored candy

Gummy candy is forgiving. If your first batch is too mild, simply increase the concentration by 0.1% in the next batch.
