Flavorah Concentrates for Ice Pops and Flavored Ice Cubes

Ice pops and flavored ice cubes are simple, fun applications where Flavorah concentrates shine. A few drops in water, juice, or a simple syrup base creates custom frozen treats or ice cubes for signature cocktails with bold, clean flavor. Flavored ice cubes are  an excellent way to add flavor to cocktails, iced tea, and other cold drinks as they melt.  This gives a time dimension to beverages that everyone enjoys.

Recommended Usage Rates

• Ice pops (water or syrup-based): 0.25-0.75% by weight (typical 0.5%)
• Ice pops (juice or milk-based): 0.2-0.5% to complement existing flavor
• Flavored ice cubes: 0.3-0.6% for flavor that holds as ice melts

Technique

Mix Flavorah concentrate into the liquid base thoroughly before pouring into molds and freezing. For layered ice pops, freeze each flavored layer partially before adding the next. 

A new dimension for cocktail mixology: For flavored ice cubes, mix concentrate into water or a light simple syrup, pour into trays, and freeze. Use a slightly higher concentration than you would for a drink, since the flavor dilutes as the ice melts over time.

Recipe Ideas

• Tropical fruit pops: blend Flavorah Mango at 0.3% and Flavorah Passion Fruit at 0.2% in coconut water
• Berry lemonade pops: add Flavorah Blueberry at 0.4% to fresh lemonade for a summer classic
• Cocktail ice cubes: freeze Flavorah Watermelon at 0.5% in water for cubes that flavor your drink as they melt
• Creamsicle pops: layer Flavorah Orange at 0.4% in water with Flavorah Vanilla Custard at 0.3% in milk

Freezing slightly mutes some flavor perception. Use the middle-to-upper range for best results in frozen applications.
