Flavor Profile
Flavorah Raspberry captures the canes at the edge of the garden in July: berries warm from the sun and a little sharp on the tongue.
This is a clean raspberry right off the bush, with a hand-picked note: not a shrill blue-raspberry candy and not a hollow beverage raspberry. Opening notes are tart and juicy, the body is crisp with a seedy realism, and the finish is clean, with tartness lingering more than sugar.
Intensity is moderate. Raspberry mixes with almost anything: berries and cream, fruit punches, melon blends, apple desserts, and chocolate. Too much turns sharp and thin, so start small and build. It brings back the taste of fruit picked straight off the cane.
Create Endless and Indelible Memories with Flavorah
All the flavors that we make at Flavorah are designed for mixing complex, layered recipes for products that may be consumed. Even though this Raspberry flavor will stand alone with memorable and captivating notes, we believe you will enjoy it most when you blend it with other flavors. It is our mission to create concentrates and extracts that become a powerful tool of flavor art in your culinary palette.
Use this Raspberry flavoring concentrate to develop your own artistic creations. As you blend it together with other complementary flavor layers, it will develop nuances and notes that either soften or strengthen according to your desire.
The layers of a completed flavoring profile can come from another Flavorah concentrate, such as Blueberry or Whipped Cream, or from the medium you choose to mix it with. Try mixing Flavorah in baked goods, sweet frosting, syrups, a sugar-free smoothie, or a cocktail beverage.
Flavorah makes flavor art into an expression of individual perception and beauty. Our flavoring is designed to empower you to communicate this balance of potent perfection with the sense of taste and smell. Our Raspberry flavoring can harness the passing moments of enjoyment that will be experienced by everyone who samples your creation.
Flavorah is a product meant for the artist who wants to be tasted not heard, and smelled but not seen.
We know success when we see the satisfaction on the faces of our customers who create their own recipes. We delight in seeing our customers' recipes making the world a more bountiful experience for everyone to enjoy.
Layering Partners
Our customers around the globe have discovered that Raspberry layers well for memorable and complex creations:
- Flavorah Blueberry: 1:1 (Raspberry to Blueberry) in a berries-and-cream blend
- Flavorah Whipped Cream: 1:1 (Raspberry to Whipped Cream) for berries and cream
- Flavorah Grape: 3:5 (Raspberry to Grape) with melons in a fruit punch
- Flavorah Apple Filling: 1:2 (Raspberry to Apple Filling) in a baked apple custard
- Flavorah Pink Fruit: 1:3 (Raspberry to Pink Fruit) for a brighter pink cake
Raspberry also pairs beautifully with these; let your palate set the balance:
- Flavorah Lemon for raspberry lemonade, sours, and lemon-raspberry bars
- Flavorah Cream for raspberry ice cream, cream sodas, and panna cotta
- Flavorah Chocolate Deutsch for raspberry chocolate cake, truffles, and brownies
Mood Through Combination
With whipped cream and blueberry, Raspberry feels nostalgic and summery. With lemon it turns playful and picnic-bright, and with chocolate it becomes romantic and indulgent.
Recipe Ideas
Berries N Cream: Blueberry, Raspberry, Whipped Cream, Berry Blend, Strawberry Cream, and Alpine Strawberry at 3:3:3:2:2:1 for milkshakes and cream sodas. Grape Melon: Grape, Raspberry, Cantaloupe, Watermelon, and Wild Melon at 5:3:2:2:2 for a fruit punch or seltzer. Ghost Berrial: Raspberry, Bubble Gum, Sweetness, and Marshmallow at about 2:1:1:1 for a candy-style raspberry slushy. Apple Surprise: Apple Filling, Cheesecake, Apple, Raspberry, and Vanilla Pudding at 2:2:1:1:1 for apples baked in custard cream.
Mixing Notes
Raspberry's tartness is its signature; let cream, marshmallow, or sweetness round it rather than pushing it higher. For a sweeter, brighter raspberry, pair it with Red Raspberry.
Building a Recipe
Start with a small amount of Raspberry, taste, and build in small steps, testing in your own batch. As the lead berry it sits toward the middle of each range; as a tart accent in an apple or melon recipe, lower. Settle the ratios between your flavors before raising the total.
