Flavor Profile
Flavorah Pink Guava changes with the amount you use: a sweet tropical guava at low levels, a bright pink grapefruit as you build.
At low levels it is a sweet, fruity pink guava that transports you south, tasty all day long. As the amount rises it moves toward a ripe pink grapefruit, juicy and clean, with a tart bite and a light, pleasant bitterness at the finish.
Pink Guava is a potent flavor, so start lower than you would with most fruits. It pairs beautifully with melon, lychee, lemonade, and gin-style botanicals, and layers well with Yakima Hops. Decide whether you want guava or grapefruit, and let the amount take you there.
Create Endless and Indelible Memories with Flavorah
All the flavors that we make at Flavorah are designed for mixing complex, layered recipes for products that may be consumed. Even though this Pink Guava flavor will stand alone with memorable and captivating notes, we believe you will enjoy it most when you blend it with other flavors. It is our mission to create concentrates and extracts that become a powerful tool of flavor art in your culinary palette.
Use this Pink Guava flavoring concentrate to develop your own artistic creations. As you blend it together with other complementary flavor layers, it will develop nuances and notes that either soften or strengthen according to your desire.
The layers of a completed flavoring profile can come from another Flavorah concentrate, such as Wild Melon or Lychee, or from the medium you choose to mix it with. Try mixing Flavorah in smoothies, sorbet, gummies, or a tropical cocktail.
Flavorah makes flavor art into an expression of individual perception and beauty. Our flavoring is designed to empower you to communicate this balance of potent perfection with the sense of taste and smell. Our Pink Guava flavoring can harness the passing moments of enjoyment that will be experienced by everyone who samples your creation.

Recipe Ideas
Wild Exotic: Wild Melon, Pink Guava, Lime, and Lychee at 10:5:3:2, an exotic melon and guava blend. Tropical Melon Punch: Tropical Punch, Wild Melon, Cantaloupe, Pink Guava, and Watermelon at 10:7:4:3:2. Pink Gin: Lemonade, Pink Guava, Juniper Gin, Ice, Alpine Strawberry, and Lime at 20:8:6:4:2:1, a pink gin-style cocktail flavor.
Mixing Notes
Pink Guava's character follows the amount: keep it low for guava, raise it for pink grapefruit. Because it is potent, add it in very small steps.
Building a Recipe
Start small, taste, and build in small steps, testing in your own batch. Pink Guava is potent, so it sits at the low end of each range for a guava note and moves up only when you want grapefruit. Set the ratios first, then adjust the total.
DIY Flavoring in the Kitchen or Behind the Bar
- Beverages (home brew, cocktails, sodas): 0.03-1.5% of the finished drink; start at 0.03%, about 2 drops per 8 oz glass or about 1 1/4 tsp in a 5-gallon home brew. Low levels read guava; higher levels read pink grapefruit.
- Custom syrups: 2% or stronger (1 part flavor to 50 parts syrup); start at 2%, about 1 tsp per cup of syrup. Make it bold, then dose the syrup to taste. Try a pink guava syrup for spritzes and sodas.
- Baking: 0.2-3% by weight of batter or dough; start at 2%, about 2 tsp per 500 g of cake batter.
- Frostings, fillings, dairy, and frozen: 0.1-2% by weight; start at 0.1%, about 15 drops per 500 g of frosting.
- Candy and gummies: 0.2-4% by weight; start at 0.2%, about 30 drops per 500 g batch. Add as the batch cools.
- DIY fishing bait: 0.5-5% or higher by weight of bait; start at 0.5%, about 68 drops per pound of dough bait.
- DIY animal attractants: 1-5% or higher by weight; start at 1%, about 1 tsp per pound of attractant.
- Home aroma (candles, diffusers, room sprays): 1-5% by weight of wax or base; start at 1%, about 1 tsp per 16 oz candle.
