Flavor Profile
Flavorah Pineapple tastes like the first golden slice off a fresh pineapple at a summer cookout, juice running down your wrist.
This is the bright, real-fruit pineapple, sweet, golden, and juicy, not the baked pineapple of a pizza topping. Its crisp notes can lean toward candy for some palates, but its natural home is in tropical drinks and beverages.
Pineapple is a potent flavor, so start lower than you would with most fruits. It pairs naturally with coconut, banana, mango, and cream. Pushed too far it turns sharp and candy-like and crowds a blend; a little goes a long way.
Create Endless and Indelible Memories with Flavorah
All the flavors that we make at Flavorah are designed for mixing complex, layered recipes for products that may be consumed. Even though this Pineapple flavor will stand alone with memorable and captivating notes, we believe you will enjoy it most when you blend it with other flavors. It is our mission to create concentrates and extracts that become a powerful tool of flavor art in your culinary palette.
Use this Pineapple flavoring concentrate to develop your own artistic creations. As you blend it together with other complementary flavor layers, it will develop nuances and notes that either soften or strengthen according to your desire.
The layers of a completed flavoring profile can come from another Flavorah concentrate, such as Coconut or Banana, or from the medium you choose to mix it with. Try mixing Flavorah in smoothies, sorbet, gummies, or a tropical cocktail.
Flavorah makes flavor art into an expression of individual perception and beauty. Our flavoring is designed to empower you to communicate this balance of potent perfection with the sense of taste and smell. Our Pineapple flavoring can harness the passing moments of enjoyment that will be experienced by everyone who samples your creation.
Flavorah is a product meant for the artist who wants to be tasted not heard, and smelled but not seen.
We know success when we see the satisfaction on the faces of our customers who create their own recipes. We delight in seeing our customers' recipes making the world a more bountiful experience for everyone to enjoy.
Layering Partners
Our customers around the globe have discovered that Pineapple layers well for memorable and complex creations:
- Flavorah Coconut: 2:3 (Pineapple to Coconut) for a virgin tropical cooler
- Flavorah Banana: 1:2 (Pineapple to Banana) for a banana pineapple smoothie
- Flavorah Sweet Mango: 1:3 (Pineapple to Sweet Mango) for a pineapple spear
- Flavorah Mango-Pineapple-Passion: 1:3 (Pineapple to Mango-Pineapple-Passion) for a bright tropical base
- Flavorah Peach: 3:4 (Pineapple to Peach) in a juicy fruit medley
Pineapple also pairs beautifully with these; let your palate set the balance:
- Flavorah Sweet Coconut and Flavorah Cream for a colada-style drink
- Flavorah Cheesecake and Flavorah Vanilla Pudding for pineapple desserts
Mood Through Combination
With coconut, Pineapple feels like an easy beach day. With banana and milk it turns into a joyful tropical breakfast, and with peach and apple it becomes a playful picnic punch.
Recipe Ideas
Pineapple Spear: Mango-Pineapple-Passion, Sweet Mango, and Pineapple at 3:3:1. Virgin Bahama Tropix: Coconut, Pineapple, Blood Orange, Ginger Peach, and Lime Wedge at about 18:12:9:9:4, a tropical cooler. Banana Pineapple Smoothie: Banana, Milk, and Pineapple at 6:4:3. Jussie Fruity: Peach, Peach Gummy, Apple, Pineapple, Granny Smith, and Sweetness at 8:8:6:6:3:1, a juicy orchard-and-tropical medley.
Mixing Notes
Because Pineapple is potent, keep it the smaller number and let coconut, banana, or mango carry the volume. Cream softens its crisp edge in desserts.
Building a Recipe
Start small, taste, and build in small steps, testing in your own batch. Pineapple is potent, so it usually sits at the low end of each range, even when pineapple is the star. Set the ratios first, then adjust the total.
DIY Flavoring in the Kitchen or Behind the Bar
- Beverages (home brew, cocktails, sodas): 0.03-1.5% of the finished drink; start at 0.03%, about 2 drops per 8 oz glass or about 1 1/4 tsp in a 5-gallon home brew. Colada-style drinks and coolers need very little.
- Custom syrups: 2% or stronger (1 part flavor to 50 parts syrup); start at 2%, about 1 tsp per cup of syrup. Make it bold, then dose the syrup to taste.
- Baking: 0.2-3% by weight of batter or dough; start at 0.8%, about 3/4 tsp per 500 g of cake batter.
- Frostings, fillings, dairy, and frozen: 0.1-2% by weight; start at 0.1%, about 15 drops per 500 g of frosting.
- Candy and gummies: 0.2-4% by weight; start at 0.2%, about 30 drops per 500 g batch. Add as the batch cools.
- DIY fishing bait: 0.5-5% or higher by weight of bait; start at 0.5%, about 68 drops per pound of dough bait.
- DIY animal attractants: 1-5% or higher by weight; start at 1%, about 1 tsp per pound of attractant.
- Home aroma (candles, diffusers, room sprays): 1-5% by weight of wax or base; start at 1%, about 1 tsp per 16 oz candle. Pair with Coconut for a beach-day scent.
