Flavor Profile
Flavorah Lychee tastes like the first sip of a lychee bubble tea on a warm evening: sweet, floral, and gently exotic.
Smooth and delicate, it carries a floral, rose-water perfume and a sweet kick, with a light pear-like juiciness and a clean finish. It may seem obscure, but for those who know it, lychee has become a staple.
Intensity is moderate. Lychee shines in teas, cocktails, and sorbets, and it pairs beautifully with melon, guava, blueberry, and watermelon. Floral notes build as the amount rises, so start small and build. It is a flavor that sticks in memory.
Create Endless and Indelible Memories with Flavorah
All the flavors that we make at Flavorah are designed for mixing complex, layered recipes for products that may be consumed. Even though this Lychee flavor will stand alone with memorable and captivating notes, we believe you will enjoy it most when you blend it with other flavors. It is our mission to create concentrates and extracts that become a powerful tool of flavor art in your culinary palette.
Use this Lychee flavoring concentrate to develop your own artistic creations. As you blend it together with other complementary flavor layers, it will develop nuances and notes that either soften or strengthen according to your desire.
The layers of a completed flavoring profile can come from another Flavorah concentrate, such as Pink Guava or Wild Melon, or from the medium you choose to mix it with. Try mixing Flavorah in smoothies, sorbet, gummies, or a tropical cocktail.
Flavorah makes flavor art into an expression of individual perception and beauty. Our flavoring is designed to empower you to communicate this balance of potent perfection with the sense of taste and smell. Our Lychee flavoring can harness the passing moments of enjoyment that will be experienced by everyone who samples your creation.
Flavorah is a product meant for the artist who wants to be tasted not heard, and smelled but not seen.
We know success when we see the satisfaction on the faces of our customers who create their own recipes. We delight in seeing our customers' recipes making the world a more bountiful experience for everyone to enjoy.
Layering Partners
Our customers around the globe have discovered that Lychee layers well for memorable and complex creations:
- Flavorah Pink Guava: 2:5 (Lychee to Pink Guava) for an exotic tropical blend
- Flavorah Wild Melon: 1:5 (Lychee to Wild Melon) for a juicy melon base
- Flavorah Lime: 2:3 (Lychee to Lime) for a bright citrus edge
- Flavorah Watermelon: 1:2 (Lychee to Watermelon) in a creamy melon blend
- Flavorah Cream: 1:4 (Lychee to Cream) for a soft, creamy lychee
Lychee also pairs beautifully with these; let your palate set the balance:
- Flavorah Blueberry for a surprising lychee-blueberry pairing
- Flavorah Black Tea for a lychee bubble tea or iced tea
Mood Through Combination
In a tea, Lychee feels easy and calming, an evening treat. With pink guava and lime it turns joyful and bright, and with melon and cream it becomes a playful, celebratory drink.
Recipe Ideas
Wild Exotic: Wild Melon, Pink Guava, Lime, and Lychee at 10:5:3:2, an exotic melon and guava blend. Fiorina Fruit: Cream, Wild Melon, Cantaloupe, Watermelon, Lychee, Pink Guava, and Sweet Coconut at 4:4:2:2:1:1:1, a creamy tropical melon blend. Flavor artists also pair Lychee with blueberry or watermelon, and with Black Tea for bubble tea.
Mixing Notes
Lychee's floral side grows with the amount; if a blend turns perfumed, add melon or lime instead of more lychee. Tea and lychee rest well together.
Building a Recipe
Start with a small amount, taste, and build in small steps, testing in your own batch. As the lead it sits toward the middle of each range; as a floral accent over melon or guava, lower. Settle the ratios first, then the total.
DIY Flavoring in the Kitchen or Behind the Bar
- Beverages (home brew, cocktails, sodas): 0.03-1.5% of the finished drink; start at 0.1%, about 7 drops per 8 oz glass or about 19 ml in a 5-gallon home brew. Bubble teas, iced teas, and cocktails carry it well.
- Custom syrups: 2% or stronger (1 part flavor to 50 parts syrup); start at 2%, about 1 tsp per cup of syrup. Make it bold, then dose the syrup to taste.
- Baking: 0.2-3% by weight of batter or dough; start at 0.8%, about 3/4 tsp per 500 g of cake batter.
- Frostings, fillings, dairy, and frozen: 0.1-2% by weight; start at 0.3%, about 45 drops per 500 g of frosting. Try it in a sorbet or ice cream.
- Candy and gummies: 0.2-4% by weight; start at 0.5%, about 1/2 tsp per 500 g batch. Add as the batch cools.
- DIY fishing bait: 0.5-5% or higher by weight of bait; start at 1%, about 1 tsp per pound of dough bait.
- DIY animal attractants: 1-5% or higher by weight; start at 2%, about 1 3/4 tsp per pound of attractant.
- Home aroma (candles, diffusers, room sprays): 1-5% by weight of wax or base; start at 2%, about 1 3/4 tsp per 16 oz candle.
