Flavor Profile
Flavorah Cherimoya is an exotic delight that turns a different direction with every partner: a smoothie, a luxurious lemonade, or a creamy tropical dessert.
Known as the custard apple, cherimoya tastes like a creamy blend of pineapple, banana, and pear with a lush, velvety body. It is so fruity that everyday apples and oranges seem plain beside it, and it sits comfortably beside its tropical cousins, soursop and guanabana.
Intensity is moderate. Cherimoya can stand alone, but it shines in smoothies, creams, yogurts, and tropical lemonades. Start small and build, and let a blend rest so the creamy notes meld. Choose the partner, and the fruit follows.
Create Endless and Indelible Memories with Flavorah
All the flavors that we make at Flavorah are designed for mixing complex, layered recipes for products that may be consumed. Even though this Cherimoya flavor will stand alone with memorable and captivating notes, we believe you will enjoy it most when you blend it with other flavors. It is our mission to create concentrates and extracts that become a powerful tool of flavor art in your culinary palette.
Use this Cherimoya flavoring concentrate to develop your own artistic creations. As you blend it together with other complementary flavor layers, it will develop nuances and notes that either soften or strengthen according to your desire.
The layers of a completed flavoring profile can come from another Flavorah concentrate, such as Banana or Soursop, or from the medium you choose to mix it with. Try mixing Flavorah in smoothies, sorbet, gummies, or a tropical cocktail.
Flavorah makes flavor art into an expression of individual perception and beauty. Our flavoring is designed to empower you to communicate this balance of potent perfection with the sense of taste and smell. Our Cherimoya flavoring can harness the passing moments of enjoyment that will be experienced by everyone who samples your creation.
Flavorah is a product meant for the artist who wants to be tasted not heard, and smelled but not seen.
We know success when we see the satisfaction on the faces of our customers who create their own recipes. We delight in seeing our customers' recipes making the world a more bountiful experience for everyone to enjoy.
Layering Partners
Our customers around the globe have discovered that Cherimoya layers well for memorable and complex creations:
- Flavorah Banana: 2:5 (Cherimoya to Banana) for a tropical fruit smoothie
- Flavorah Soursop: 1:1 (Cherimoya to Soursop) in a luxurious lemonade
- Flavorah Kiwi: 1:1 (Cherimoya to Kiwi) for a brighter smoothie
- Flavorah Lemonade: 1:2 (Cherimoya to Lemonade) for a tropical lemonade
- Flavorah Blood Orange: 2:3 (Cherimoya to Blood Orange) for a citrus edge
Cherimoya also pairs beautifully with these; let your palate set the balance:

- Flavorah Guanabana for a deeper tropical custard
Mood Through Combination
With banana and kiwi, Cherimoya feels like an easy tropical breakfast. In a lemonade with blood orange it turns celebratory, and with cream it becomes a lush, playful dessert.
Recipe Ideas
Tropical Fruit Smoothie: Banana, Cherimoya, Kiwi, Alpine Strawberry, and Persimmon at 5:2:2:1:1. Luxurious Lemonade: Lemonade, Blood Orange, Cherimoya, Ice, and Soursop at 4:3:2:2:2, a tropical lemonade with a cool finish.
Mixing Notes
Let a Cherimoya blend rest before judging it; the creamy notes meld over time. Pair it with a bright citrus to keep the custard character lively.
Building a Recipe
Start with a small amount, taste, and build in small steps, testing in your own batch. As the lead tropical note it sits toward the middle of each range; as a creamy layer in a smoothie, lower. Settle the ratios first, then the total.
DIY Flavoring in the Kitchen or Behind the Bar
- Beverages (home brew, cocktails, sodas): 0.03-1.5% of the finished drink; start at 0.1%, about 7 drops per 8 oz glass or about 19 ml in a 5-gallon home brew. Smoothies and lemonades carry it well.
- Custom syrups: 2% or stronger (1 part flavor to 50 parts syrup); start at 2%, about 1 tsp per cup of syrup. Make it bold, then dose the syrup to taste.
- Baking: 0.2-3% by weight of batter or dough; start at 1%, about 1 tsp per 500 g of cake batter.
- Frostings, fillings, dairy, and frozen: 0.1-2% by weight; start at 0.3%, about 45 drops per 500 g of frosting. Exotic custards and frozen yogurt are a natural fit.
- Candy and gummies: 0.2-4% by weight; start at 0.5%, about 1/2 tsp per 500 g batch. Add as the batch cools.
- DIY fishing bait: 0.5-5% or higher by weight of bait; start at 1%, about 1 tsp per pound of dough bait.
- DIY animal attractants: 1-5% or higher by weight; start at 2%, about 1 3/4 tsp per pound of attractant.
- Home aroma (candles, diffusers, room sprays): 1-5% by weight of wax or base; start at 2%, about 1 3/4 tsp per 16 oz candle.
