FLV Apple Cider Tasting Notes:
Apple Cider flavoring concentrate formulated from the ground up for manufacturing and creating DIY recipes. Pressed hard apple cider with scrumpy notes of mixed apple varieties balanced between aromatic and astringent. This is a very unique apple flavor with a matured, slightly ale yeast note more on the side of hard cider than spiced cider. Makes a great standalone if you have a taste for hard cider. Can be hop-ed up too. Usage Rate: 1.00 – 1.50%

Flavor Profile
Flavorah Apple Cider captures the warm, spiced character of fresh-pressed autumn cider. The aroma presents rich apple sweetness with brown sugar warmth and subtle cinnamon-clove spice notes.
Opening notes reveal concentrated apple juice character with natural tartness and pressed fruit depth. The body develops warm spice complexity with hints of mulled cider aromatics. The finish is comforting and autumnal, leaving pleasant warmth without excessive sweetness.
This is a moderately intense, complex flavor that evokes crisp fall days and harvest celebrations. The sophisticated spice balance makes it ideal for seasonal beverages and warming dessert applications.
Complementary Flavors
Flavorah Apple Cider pairs beautifully with warming spices and caramel notes. Its complex profile creates depth in autumn-themed applications.
- Flavorah Caramel: 3:1 for caramel apple cider
- Flavorah Cinnamon Crunch: 4:1 to enhance spice notes
- Flavorah Bourbon: 4:1 for spiked cider profiles
- Flavorah Vanilla Custard: 3:1 for creamy cider desserts
- Flavorah Cranberry: 2:1 for festive holiday blends
Recipe Concepts
Create hot mulled cider by using as the primary base. For cider donut profiles, combine with Flavorah Cookie and cinnamon notes. Blend with Flavorah Bourbon for adult spiked cider applications.
Mixing Notes
The built-in spice notes mean additional cinnamon should be used sparingly. Works well as both a standalone seasonal flavor and foundation for complex autumn profiles.
Beverage Applications
For hot cider, add 0.3-0.5% to warm apple juice base. The spiced profile shines in heated applications. For cocktails, add 3-5 drops per 100ml for authentic cider character.
Hard cider producers should add 0.2-0.4% post-fermentation for spiced cider varieties. Kombucha applications use 0.2-0.4% in secondary fermentation for autumn-inspired profiles.
- Hot cider: 0.3-0.5% in warm base
- Cocktails: 3-5 drops per 100ml
- Hard cider: 0.2-0.4% post-fermentation
- Flavored syrups: 1-1.5% in simple syrup
Baking Applications
For cider donuts and apple cakes, add 0.3-0.5% by weight with wet ingredients. The warm spice notes complement baked goods beautifully. Buttercream frosting uses 4-6 drops per cup.
Confectionery Applications
For caramel apples and autumn candy, add 0.25-0.5% at the end of cooking. Creates sophisticated seasonal confections with warming complexity.
Usage Notes
Flavorah concentrates are highly potent. Start at less than 0.3% and adjust upward. The spice notes intensify with higher concentrations.
