Liquid peppermint flavoring concentrate. Heat stable and water soluble. Made from FEMA GRAS ingredients for ingestion, and formulated for mixing food and beverage recipes with potent flavor notes. Usage Rate: 0.50 – 5.00%
FLV Peppermint Tasting Notes:
Peppermint flavoring concentrate formulated from the ground up for manufacturing and creating DIY recipes. Green candied peppermint is a clean and cool flavor. Not as ice cold as our FLV Cool Menthol, but presents a spicy peppermint pop as it should. This is super potent so start low Usage Rate 0.1 – 1.50% Special Note: Do not refrigerate this flavor. If this flavor is cooled below room temperature menthol crystals will develop. Warm the flavor to approximately 100°F and shake in order to melt the menthol crystals.

Opening notes reveal cool peppermint with immediate herbal character and natural mint presence. The body develops into refreshing territory with peppermint depth and balanced cooling. The finish is cool and clean, leaving pleasant peppermint character.
This is a classic, medium-intensity mint that captures natural peppermint authenticity. The cool-herbal profile makes it ideal for peppermint applications, chocolate pairings, and anywhere genuine peppermint character is desired.

Recipe Concepts
Create peppermint patty by combining with Flavorah Chocolate Deutsch. For candy cane, use standalone or with enhanced cooling. Works in mint chocolate and holiday applications.
Mixing Notes
The natural peppermint character is herbal and cool. More natural than Mint Candy. Refreshing and clean mouthfeel. Best in peppermint and chocolate applications.
Beverage Applications
For peppermint drinks and cool beverages, add 0.2-0.4% to base for authentic peppermint character. The herbal profile creates refreshing drinks.
- Peppermint tea: 0.2-0.35% with tea
- Peppermint hot chocolate: 0.2-0.4% with chocolate
- Peppermint syrup: 0.3-0.5% in simple syrup
Confectionery Applications
For peppermint candy, add 0.3-0.5% to cooled mixture. Creates authentic peppermint treats.
- Candy canes: 0.3-0.5% in mixture
- Peppermint patties: 0.3-0.5% in filling
- Mint candy: 0.3-0.5% in cooled mixture
Baking Applications
For peppermint desserts, add 0.25-0.4% by weight with wet ingredients. Creates festive mint bakery.
Frozen Applications
For peppermint ice cream, add 0.3-0.5% to base before churning. Creates refreshing mint frozen desserts.
Usage Notes
Flavorah concentrates are highly potent. Start at less than 0.3% and adjust. More natural than Mint Candy.

Flavorah® is a food grade flavoring concentrate intended for further processing in products that may be ingested. This product is a raw material and must be further processed for use; not for personal consumption in this form. Flavorah can be used in any application that requires GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) for food ingredients. See MSDS for futher saftey and handling instructions.
WARNING: Exposure may result in irritation of the eyes, skin, nose, throat and respiratory tract. Avoid contact with undiluted flavor concentrate. If contact is made, seek medical attention as follows:
- Eyes: Immediately flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally opening the upper and lower eyelids.
- Skin: Immediately flush skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing.
- Ingestion: Harmful if swallowed. Nausea and vomiting may occur. Call poison control: 1 (800) 222-1222
WARNING: This product may contain compounds that may be hazardous to your health. We do not add Diacetyl or Acetyl Propionyl (a/k/a 2,3-pentanedione) to any of our products, however diacetyl and/or acetyl propionyl may naturally occur in the flavor extraction process in some of our products.
