Coffee flavoring concentrate formulated from the ground up for manufacturing and creating DIY recipes. We're from Seattle, so this flavor is taken very seriously, and often with a little bit of mint! A rich coffee flavor that has a dark, burned cocoa zip. Unlike other coffee flavors that are bitter and espresso bean-like, this coffee is rich and smokey. Opening notes reveal bold coffee with immediate roasted character and genuine bean authenticity. The body develops into rich territory with natural bitterness and proper coffee depth. The finish is clean and roasted, leaving pleasant coffee warmth without burnt harshness.

This is a bold, moderately intense coffee flavor that captures genuine brewed coffee character. The authentic profile makes it ideal for coffee beverages, mocha desserts, and any application where real coffee presence is essential.

Recipe Concepts

Create mocha by combining with Flavorah Chocolate Deutsch. For caramel latte, blend with Flavorah Caramel and cream. Works excellently in tiramisu and coffee-forward dessert applications.

Mixing Notes

The roasted character provides genuine coffee authenticity. Pairs naturally with cream to smooth bitterness. The bold profile can dominate lighter flavors. Best in coffee-forward applications.

Beverage Applications

For coffee drinks and espresso-style beverages, add 0.3-0.5% to base for bold coffee character. The roasted profile creates authentic coffee drinks. For coffee syrup, use 0.5-0.75% in simple syrup.

  • Coffee drinks: 0.3-0.5% of base
  • Mocha: 0.3-0.4% with chocolate
  • Iced coffee: 0.3-0.5% in cold base
  • Coffee syrup: 0.5-0.75% in simple syrup

Baking Applications

For coffee cakes and espresso desserts, add 0.3-0.5% by weight with wet ingredients. The bold character creates outstanding coffee baked goods.

  • Coffee cake: 0.3-0.5% by weight
  • Tiramisu: 0.3-0.5% in mascarpone
  • Brownies: 0.2-0.4% for mocha twist
  • Buttercream: 4-6 drops per cup

Dairy and Frozen

For coffee ice cream, add 0.3-0.5% to base before churning. Creates bold coffee frozen desserts.

Confectionery Applications

For coffee candy and chocolate-coffee confections, add 0.3-0.5% to the mixture. Creates sophisticated coffee treats.

Usage Notes

Flavorah concentrates are highly potent. Start at less than 0.3% and adjust. The bold character intensifies at higher percentages.

SAFETY INFORMATION

Flavorah® is a food grade flavoring concentrate intended for further processing in products that may be ingested. This product is a raw material and must be further processed for use; not for personal consumption in this form. Flavorah can be used in any application that requires GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) for food ingredients. See MSDS for futher saftey and handling instructions.

WARNING: Exposure may result in irritation of the eyes, skin, nose, throat and respiratory tract. Avoid contact with undiluted flavor concentrate. If contact is made, seek medical attention as follows:

  • Eyes: Immediately flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally opening the upper and lower eyelids.
  • Skin: Immediately flush skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing.
  • Ingestion: Harmful if swallowed. Nausea and vomiting may occur. Call poison control: 1 (800) 222-1222

WARNING: This product may contain compounds that may be hazardous to your health. We do not add Diacetyl or Acetyl Propionyl (a/k/a 2,3-pentanedione) to any of our products, however diacetyl and/or acetyl propionyl may naturally occur in the flavor extraction process in some of our products.

The inhalation of flavoring concentrate may expose you to hazardous chemicals, toxins, and nanoparticles, including diacetyl, acetyl propionyl and/or acetoin, which have been associated with permanent lung injury and disease, including bronchiolitis obliterans, a disease characterized by inflammation and scarring of the small airways of the lungs, which leads to severe and disabling shortness of breath. Exposure to the aerosol can trigger, aggravate, and exacerbate various adverse health effects including but not limited to cancer, carcinoma, addiction, birth defects, heart disease, arteriosclerosis, liver and kidney disease, abnormal conditions, disorders, symptoms, and illness of the human body.
